Hi, I'm Mike.
I'm the whole company — the person who answers the phone, shows up at your door, and stands behind the work afterward. No call center, no ticket number, no rotating technicians.

How I got here
I've spent my career in the Technology Sector — the corporate kind. Servers, databases, networks, and the systems a few thousand people depend on without ever knowing they exist. It's good work, and it taught me how to find the actual problem instead of guessing at it.
But the calls I liked most were never the ones on the ticket queue. They were the ones from family, from friends, from neighbors: my computer's doing that thing again. The Wi-Fi doesn't reach the back bedroom. Can you look at this text — is it a scam? Real problems, real people, and an answer they could actually use.
What I kept hearing was the same story. The big-box counter wanted the machine left for a week. The 800 number put them on hold and then talked past them. Somebody's nephew helped once and never called back. So people just live with it — the slow laptop, the dead spot, the photos nobody's backed up in nine years.
That's the gap I built this to fill. Same skills I use at work, brought to your kitchen table, at a flat price you hear before I start.
Why I do this
How I run this isn't complicated, and it shows up in ordinary ways: telling you the truth about what you need, saying so when you don't need anything, charging what I said I'd charge, and never making anyone feel small for asking a question.
I've been given a skill set that most people don't have, and it doesn't do anybody much good sitting on a shelf. Helping a neighbor get their family photos somewhere safe, or teaching a widow how to spot the text messages that are after her savings — that's worth doing whether or not there's an invoice at the end of it. Plenty of times there isn't.
So if you're ever unsure whether something's worth calling about, call anyway. Talking it through costs nothing, and I'd rather answer a small question today than clean up a big problem later.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. — Colossians 3:23
What you can count on
Four things I won't budge on, no matter how the job goes.
When I'm not fixing something
Most of my time off goes to my family — they're the reason this business looks the way it does, built close to home instead of an hour down the interstate. When we can, we're outside: hiking, camping, or just somewhere the kids can run around.
The rest of the time I'm probably tinkering with my own house: cameras, thermostats, lights, and the occasional project that has me rewiring something at eleven at night because I wanted to see if it would work.
That last part is genuinely useful to you. Most of what I recommend, I've already run in my own home long enough to know what it's like to live with — and which of it isn't worth the money.
Where I work
Boone County is home. There's no travel charge anywhere in it — town, subdivision, or the gravel road out past the county line sign.
Let's fix that thing that's been bugging you.
Tell me what's going on in your own words — no jargon required — and I'll come back with a time and a flat price. See the full menu of home services or business services.
